Filter Channel Plus - managing email loads

Description
Opus One's Filter Channel works with Innosoft's PMDF, Sun's SIMS, and iPlanet's NMS (Netscape Messaging Server) software to provide a real-time filtering capability for high volumes of mail. The filter channel lets both end users and system managers define mail to be accepted, rejected, forwarded, replied-to, or silently dropped. Unlike user-context filtering (procmail-type programs), the filter channel is designed to handle hundreds of thousands of messages a day, filtering all email for a large mail backbone.

Filter Channel uses a simple filtering language (similar to the IETF standards track language). Filter rules can be stored in relational databases such as Informix or Oracle, in an X.500 directory, or in simple text files.

The Filter Channel can be combined with the Opus One STORM real-time mail load management system for maximum protection and flexibility.
